How to use it

  1. Print on A4 (US Letter works too with "fit to page").
  2. Say the letter or word aloud together.
  3. Start at the orange dot and follow the arrow along the single dotted line, with a finger first, then a pencil. Arrows guide the first two tries, then fade away.
  4. Celebrate every finished row and colour the stars at the top.

About the letter: ا

  • Alif (ا) sounds like a glottal stop that carries a vowel, like the start of 'apple'; it has no dots.
  • It never joins the letter after it, so it has only two forms: ا ـا.
  • Also spelled: Alif, Alef.
