How to use it

About the letter: ج

  • Jeem (ج) sounds like 'j' as in 'jam' (Egyptians say a hard 'g'); it has one dot inside.
  • It joins the next letter, so it has four forms: ج جـ ـجـ ـج.
  • It looks like Haa (ح), Khaa (خ); the dots tell them apart.
  • Also spelled: Jeem, Jim.
