About the letter: خ

  • Khaa (خ) sounds like 'kh' like the 'ch' in Scottish 'loch'; it has one dot above.
  • It joins the next letter, so it has four forms: خ خـ ـخـ ـخ.
  • It looks like Jeem (ج), Haa (ح); the dots tell them apart.
