About the letter: ق

  • Qaaf (ق) sounds like a deep 'k' from the back of the throat; it has two dots above.
  • It joins the next letter, so it has four forms: ق قـ ـقـ ـق.
  • It looks like Faa (ف); the dots tell them apart.
